Dr. Katarzyna Pisarska is the Founder and Director of the European Academy of Diplomacy and the Visegrad School of Political Studies. From 2004 she has transformed two “start-up” institutions into international renowned diplomatic and leadership schools, with over 7000 Alumni coming from 50 countries. Throughout her career she has inspired and led change within a number of organizations including the Council of Europe and the Community of Democracies.
In addition to her leadership and management experience Dr. Pisarska pursues a career in academia. She is an Associate Professor at the Warsaw School of Economics and an Associate Scholar at the Center for European Policy Analysis in Washington D.C. Previously, Dr. Pisarska was a Fulbright Visiting Fellow at Harvard University (2007), a Visiting Scholar at Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS)(2010) and at the University of Oslo, Norway (2012). With a PhD in Economics her research and publications focus on the evolving EU foreign policy, the role of soft power instruments in diplomacy and developing leadership potential. Dr Pisarska is a graduate of the College of Europe (Bruges, Belgium) and Warsaw School of Economics.
